Student Admissions Nondiscrimination Statement

City River High School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, or disability in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Employment Nondiscrimination Policy

The governing board of City River High School has adopted a strict racial and identity nondiscriminatory policy. CRHS will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or ethnic origin in the hiring of its certified or non-certified personnel.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Staff & Volunteer Background Check Policy

In compliance with state regulations, City River High School maintains rigorous screening protocols to ensure a safe learning environment. All teaching staff, nonteaching staff, and volunteers who have direct contact with students must successfully undergo thorough screening.

This process includes mandatory background checks processed through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification (BCI&I) prior to the start of any service or employment.
